In sum WeStorix’s submitted Feedback to the European Grids Package Consultation in response to the European Commission’s call for evidence on the upcoming European Grids Package (initiative 14672) was as follow:
The European Grids Package is the cornerstone of Europe’s clean energy transformation. To succeed, it should (1) remove national roadblocks, (2) standardise infrastructure classification, and (3) unlock investment through stable, enabling legislation.
WeStorix is ready to deliver on this ambition – offering a platform that strengthens energy security, reduces emissions, supports grid stability, and safeguards resilience in the face of climate and cyber risks.
To enable this, WeStorix urges the Commission to:
- Guarantee multi-connection rights
- Allow full participation in energy communities
- Clearly define energy storage as a distinct asset
- Establish de-risked financing models
- Shorten and harmonise grid connection and permitting
- Improve data access and cyber resilience standards
- Open access to fair, efficient flexibility markets
